Longing for a brighter future, two Senegalese teenagers, Seydou and Moussa, embark on a journey from Dakar to Italy. However, between their dreams and reality lies a labyrinth of checkpoints, the Sahara Desert, and the vast waters of the Mediterranean.

The film received nominations for Best Foreign Language Film at the 81st Golden Globe Awards and Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards.
